The changing rooms, sauna and steam room are covered in mould and limescale.

The so-called relaxation area is almost never cleaned. The aromatherapy room has a stench of mould and sweat. There is slime (presumably a mixture of limescale and sweat) beneath the seats in the steam room which is rarely cleaned off. The steam room door is covered in similar slime and limescale.

There is a foetid odor from the drains. There is abundant mould on the ceiling above the shower in the relaxation area and mould beneath the drinking fountain. The floor tiles are covered in limescale and no attempt is ever made to clean this off. There is a door into a store cupboard and the painted wooden architrave at the bottom of the door is completely rotten and black.

Changing rooms are filthy. Again limescale everywhere, slime on the glass doors of the showers. Mould all over the tile grout. Some mould has even been sealed in by grouting over the top of it. Toilets smell terrible - obviously they are not adequately cleaned.

All in all a filthy place.

Can something be done about it. Noone listens when I complain and I have complained many times.

Perhaps is due to the fact that people got bored of not seeing anything done when they complained to Head Office.

Surly even you understand that if you don’t look after your customers someone else will!

 

Well i can not Speak for that as i do not work in the clubs and i deal with contract issues and Payments. But you just need to speak to the Member Services manager or the General Manager at the gym or call us at head office.

 

me_works_at_FF we are all thrilled that at least one person at fitness first cares, but by the looks of things you seem to be the only one.

But thanks anyway, hey just a suggestion: maybe if you were to change your business model and hire more people to supervise the gym. People wouldn’t complain so much!

 

Oh my goodness. That is so foul! I just became a FF Platinum member this week! Drats...if only I had known there were so many people who hated this gym with a vengence! Are most of these stories from UK...? I am from Australia!

I did notice the salespeople were very pushy! And the rates are unbelievably high! I have a years contract to go!

 

YUP! I'm from the UK and I didn't even know sites like these existed! I wouldn't have known had fitness first just given my money back when I had canceled correctly. They passed my details to a debt collection agency with some 19 year old who harasses me! I didn't even realize FF still owed me until they contacted me and I decided to check my banking online.. Now FF are losing a lot more money then they were trying to gain through this stupid debt collection company MOOHAHAHAHA

O yeah then I decided to check up fitness first on google and found this brilliant site and a few others! I love it I have referred all my friends to join up with these kinda groups and stay AWAY from fitness first.

I think if fitness first weren't such cons they will have so many customers. I actually liked the place and would have returned at a later date (after my medical problems had cleared). If fitness first let their customers leave on a good note then many WOULD return, many people leave because their re-locating, or medical problems or family and INTEND to return at some point. If ff let people leave without the hassle I bet you many would. and it will be recommended more often to friends. Oh well!
