They made it very difficult for me to leave them.

They tried to charge me two months membership to cancel.

I paid them and still received a debt collectors nasty letter saying I still owed £57! I spent forever trying to escape, it's almost possible to leave and the customer services rep wanted me to come for a 'leaving interview' in my own time!!!

The gym is overcrowded and staff unfriendly unless you're a fit bimbo.

Don't do it!

I wish I had looked Fitness First up on the net before I joined. Being such a large company i thought they'd know how to treat people. How wrong. They are not interested in the people, they are money grabbing legalised extortionists.

It is an absolute disgrace.. I have emailed watchdog, trading standards & citizens advice today.

i am sooo angry

Of course you will send a copy of the contract for a nominal fee of £20 or is it not?

2 years ago i was charged £20 for a copy of my contract which took 2 weeks to arrive. But yet you're saying that i shouldn't been charged for it?

So can get a refund?

Just kidding i don’t want the money back, i take more pleasure in keeping this site up and make sure that new potential customers of Fitness First won’t make the same mistake that all the people in this website did. All this achieved by the personal opinions of everyone in here.

If they do join Fitness First or if they want to leave at least there is somewhere that they can go and read about other people's experiences and i can assure you that it won’t cost them £20 lol.

Hey, i really appreciate having you impute your comments on the site. i mean there's always 3 sides to a story: mine, yours and the truth.

The truth being what the readers make of it, and so far isn’t looking that good for fitness first. There are hundreds of posts with complaints. There are hate groups on Face Book with over 1500 members.

Dude i know you work for fitness first and apparently you wear the t-shirt. But are we all wrong and fitness first right? Use your common sense to answer that.

Now what would be very kind of you is: if you were to tell us shortcuts within the fitness first bureaucratic system on how to deal with problems and membership cancelations.

Thanks
